I've been coming to Jade Garden since I was a teenager and used to think the food was lackluster-- then I had a revelation. After becoming a vegetarian, I was more apt to try some of their tofu-based dishes and let me tell you, they are ARTISTS with that fermented soy stuff. If you like spicy stuff (what sound-minded person doesn't), order the "Bean Curd Home". It's an interesting take on the home-style bean curd recipes common in the Hunan province. It's got a nice kick and filled with all manner of vegetable goodness... and apparently I'm the only person that orders the stuff. The vegetables are very generic and used unimaginatively in nearly every dish (cabbage, broccoli, bell pepper, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, carrots), but the portion sizes are generous and the price is great. A special mention goes out to the staff who are lovely people. The couple that owns it are great folks, and though their English is spotty at best, make conversation while putting your order together. There have been several times where they refuse a tip, citing that the only tip they need is to make sure that "nice people" go to sleep full. No fuss, guilt-ridden, Chimerican goodness at it's finest... every time I visit the beach, I stop by.

Completely average American-Chinese food here. If you're on this side of the beach and need to pick up some fried rice and lo mein, you can't go wrong with this place. No real specials to speak of here, just a la carte Chinese food. The do have a limited seating area, but takeout is the preferred method of dining. Bottom line: if you're looking for run of the mill Chinese food, and happen to the east end of the beach, this is your best bet.

mediocre American-Chinese food. tried the shrimp, scallops, vegetables with garlic sauce, the sauce had a lot sugar in it which I did not like at all, as I don't like sweet sauces.. Vegetables seemed a bit oversteamed or overboiled to me, they seemed to have lost a lot of taste.. dining area is very small, not particularly clean looking, this seems to more a take out / delivery option for those who are on east end of PCB near Navy Base, but much better Chinese food options available within 10 minutes drive range elsewhere in PCB...

Recently I've moved to the area and decided to try take out. Chose this restaurant after hearing some reviews from friends, and it's close by, and does delivery. they are open Monday thru Friday from 11 - 9:30 and Saturday from noon to 9:30. We had the Steamed Dumplings, the Kung Pao chicken and the mongollian Beef. All were GREAT! The Kung Pao Chicken was ordered spicy and it had a wonderful spice and heat to it. The mongolian Beef was some of the best I've ever ate. The Beef was not over cooked so it wasn't tough. In fact it was what i would call medium cooked, and the taste was something i had never had before. Wonderful and I will order again. Only thing that I would have liked to have done better would be the time it took to receive it but that wasn't too bad. it took about a little over an hour. That's the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars. i will be using them again. Food was great! oh, we used cash but they said they would accept credit cards too. Prices were really reasonable. the Kung Pao chicken was less than $5 and the Mongolian Beef was less than $7. a large veggy fried rice and it was LARGE was $5.55. 6 steamed dumplings were 3.50

Been going there for years. Live just a few minutes away. Pretty good for the price. You can feed 4 people for about 20 bucks, get full and have enough left over to come back in 30 minutes when you're hungry again to finish it off! Nice lady at the cash register.

Honestly, we tried 4 dishes, the quality of the meat they use is terrible! Extra charge for white meat, and it's still not good with the white meat. Sauces are biting and bland. Never again

I've been coming to Jades Garden for many years and the food is always good. I always order my food for pick up and without fail it's always ready in ten minutes. They also do deliveries just add a little tip.

I've been going to Jade Garden for about two years now; I live about 5 minutes away. The food is always hot and fully prepared by the time I arrive. Food is delicious for what it is: fast food Chinese take-out that works in a pinch. I've enjoyed every meal and the folks running the place are easy to deal with. Also a good price range. If you are looking for high end Chinese there are other options, if you want quick take-out that's really good, then this is your option. I can't comment on the delivery as I always do pick-up.

I ordered this for delivery to my hotel. I was certain the order was going to get messed up, because the woman on the phone barely understood me. I ordered the Schzechuan beef combo. The beef was very tender and tasted good. I should have ordered it extra spicy, because it's not spicy enough for me. There was a lot of cabbage in it. Also, a lot of cabbage in the hot & sour soup, which was pretty good. The fried rice that came with the beef was totally flavor-less. It was supposed to be pork fried rice, but it was totally plain with just two token peas. I guess they fell in there or something, because it didn't seem intentional. Also, they forgot to include my egg roll. They gave me a large vegetable lo mein, instead of a small (and charged me for a large). This was also totally lackluster. The crunchy fried noodles were really stale. Overall, it was a typical meh Chinese delivery. I found the $3 delivery charge a bit much. I'm used to not getting charged for Chinese delivery.

I like Jade Garden. It's not the best Chinese food in Bay County, but it is certainly better than some of the other Chinese options available on Panama City Beach. I particularly like the freshness of their vegetables and the crispness of their rice. The meat is average quality like most other Chinese options, but the price is very affordable. Don't make a special trip, but if you are craving Chinese food and on the east end of the beach you could certainly do worse.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
